Award PhD thesis

The prize will be awarded for a PhD thesis discussed in the three-year period 2022-2024 on topics related to General Botany, Systematic Botany, Environmental and Applied Botany and Pharmaceutical Botany. The prize will be awarded after evaluation by a Commission and the prize-winner will be announced by the President of the Italian Botanical Society during the Shareholders' Meeting General Assembly of the 119th Teramo Congress.
The thesis must be submitted (by S.B.I. members or non-members) via e-mail (sbi@unifi.it) to the Secretariat of the Italian Botanical Society before June 10th, 2024.
The prize consists in free registration to the 119th Congress, a contribution to travel expenses (up to € 200,00), free accomodation, lunches and congress dinner as well as a one-year membership to the Italian Botanical Society. Candidates should NOT pay the registration fee for the Congress until the outcome of the evaluation process is known. Non-winners can then decide whether or not to register.
