International Award for the Best PhD Thesis of the Italian Botanical Society 2023

The prize will be awarded for a PhD thesis discussed in the three-year period 2020-2022 on topics related to General Botany, Systematic Botany, Environmental and Applied Botany and Pharmaceutical Botany. The prize will be awarded after evaluation by a Commission that will be defined shortly and the prize-winner will be announced by the President of the Italian Botanical Society during the Shareholders' Meeting General Assembly? of the 118th Pisa Congress.
The thesis must be submitted (by S.B.I. members or non-members) via e-mail (sbi@unifi.it) to the Secretariat of the Italian Botanical Society before May 31th, 2023.

The prize consists in free registration to the 118th Congress, a contribution to travel expenses (up to € 200.00), free accomodation, lunches and congress dinner as well as a one-year membership to the Italian Botanical Society. Candidates should NOT pay the registration fee for the Congress until the outcome of the evaluation process is known. Non-winners can then decide whether or not to register.
