Dear Colleagues,

on behalf of the Italian Botanical Society (S.B.I.), we invite you to attend and present your work at the 111th Congress of the Italian Botanical Society (3rd IPSC). The congress, will take place 21 - 23 September 2016 at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy, (www.uniroma2.it).

Registration at Congress with reducted fee and abstract submission are extended to 17 june 2016
The aim of the Congress is to offer a unique opportunity for sharing selected aspects on the latest evidence-based research findings and applications. Also, the congress is a stimulating forum for professional development and establishing fruitful global and regional collaboration.

Nine invited speakers will attend the congress and we expect more than 200 participants. Our hope is that many young scientists, especially PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, will attend and share their perspectives.
To encourage their participation, the Scientific Committee will offer a certain number of scholarships covering registration fees, accommodation, and travelto undergraduate students, graduate students, and fellows (including foreign residents). Candidates should apply to the S.B.I by sending an abstract and a brief CV (sbi@unifi.it).

Rome and its hillsides (Castelli Romani) are a charming location with a rich history, magnificent architecture, and a unique food and wine culture. Rome is also an important center of research with several universities and numerous research institutes.

We hope that you will accept our invitation and we look forward to seeing you in Rome next September 2016.
