We are pleased to invite you to the 117th Congress of the Italian Botanical Society (VIII International Plant Science Conference) that will be held in Bologna from Wednesday Sept. 7 to Saturday Sept. 10, 2022.
The Congress will host several international speakers who are experts in various fields of botany and will take place at the Bologna Campus of the University of Bologna. It will also be possible to participate in the Congress electronically, but those who register for participation only online will not be able to submit either abstracts or posters.
A post-congress event will take place on Saturday morning on the topic of “Più natura negli ecosistemi urbani per il futuro sostenibile e resiliente delle città”.
We hope that the 117th Congress of the Italian Botanical Society will represent an important occasion for scientific exchange between junior and senior researchers, as well as graduate students, working in different areas. Grants are available for young researchers who will present an abstract as first author.
The official language of the Congress is English, except for the post-congress symposium.

Due to other events in the city that coincide with our congress, the hotels are particularly busy at that time. It is therefore recommended that you book your hotel accommodation as soon as possible.
Also, due to the organizational difficulties linked to the uncertainty about the number of participants in attendance, everyone is invited to register for the congress within 31 May.
