Dear Members,
we are pleased to invite you to the 114th Congress of the Italian Botanical Society (VI International Plant Science Conference) that will be held in Padova from Wednesday Sept. 4 to Saturday Sept. 7, 2019. The first session will be held jointly with the XI Congress of the Italian Society of Plant Biology.

The Congress will host several international speakers who are experts in various aspects of botany and will take place in the Auditorium of the Botanical Garden of the University of Padova. On the afternoon of the first day, there will be a joint session with the Italian Society of Plant Biology. In the evening, there will be a welcome aperitif for participants of both Congresses. During the next two days, each Congress will proceed with parallel sessions. In the afternoon of Friday Sept. 6, a meeting will be held to discuss the role of botanical gardens and on Saturday Sept. 7 there will be an excursion to the forest of Cansiglio and to the alpine botanical garden “G. Lorenzoni”.

We hope that the 114th Congress of the Italian Botanical Society will represent an important occasion for scientific exchange between junior and senior researchers, as well as graduate students, working in different fields. Fifty grants are available for young researchers.

The official language shall be English, except for the post-Congress events of Sept. 6 and 7.

Registration and abstract submission will open soon on our website. Registration will allow participants to attend the sessions of both Congresses.
