Dear members,

we are pleased to invite you to the 112th Congress of the Italian Botanical Society (IV International Plant Science Conference) to be held in Parma from 20 to 23 September 2017.
The Congress, to which nine renowned international speakers have been invited, will take place in the Campus of Parma University. In the afternoon of Friday (22 September) a meeting on botanical gardens will be held in the Botanical Garden of the University, located in the historical centre of the city. The Congress dinner will also take place in a restaurant of the city centre. On Saturday (23 September) a post-congress excursion in the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines has been scheduled.
The speakers will provide an overview of recent developments and approaches in their field of research and will share with the audience their thoughts and ideas for the future development of their research. We hope that this conference will attract not only established scientists, but also PhD students, post-docs and young scientists interested in listening to the presentations.
The official language of the conference will be English, except for the post-conference events of September 22 and 23, in Italian.
Submission of abstracts for poster and/or oral (to be decided by the organizers) presentations are welcome.

As for accommodation, Parma offer a great choice of hotels situated in the city centre and connected to the Congress venue by public transportation (bus). It is advisable to make reservations as soon as possible because there are many events taking place in Parma in September.
